The Beach

The sunny day begins hot and humid,
the perfume of sunscreen and sea salt in the air,
the sun shines brightly through the transparent leaves of the thick green trees,
everyone you see is dusted lightly with sand from the beach,
no worries,
a free feeling,
nothing you have to do,
plenty of time to waste,
smiling faces,
food as you desire,
unplanned pingpong matches,
sipping wine,
conversing with the ones you once knew years ago,
children laughing and playing,
this is the life everyone waits for,
and we are living it today.

Dear Kaden,

Every morning I wake up to your big bobbly baby head two inches from my face. As tired as I am in the morning, it is what drives me to get up. You've learned that mommy wakes up faster if you smack me in the face with your hand a few times. You're so smart!

Julie just gave me her photos from the last time we hung out. It was the day I bought Kaden his seahorse! He must have been 4 or 5 months old. Aww what a good time we had. I need to hang out with her again. It's so hard to do stuff when you have a baby. :(

So the dates are almost set!

Leaving wednesday the 22nd of July for Nashville, TN 9 hours on a plane. Driving 6 hours to South Carolina. Then driving 6 hours back to Tennessee July 31st and visiting until the first Wednesday in August (the 5th). All of this will be done WITH Kaden.

Kaden will get to meet his Grandpa for the first time and all of his 2nd and 3rd cousins! He will get to meet Luke who was born the same day as him at 1am, 15 hours before he was born. I am so looking forward to this trip.

On an even brighter note Karen, my sisterinlaw, will be coming to visit in June. We are having photos taken. I am so excited!! I can't wait to meet her newborn, Caleb, and see my even newer newborn neice again, Annalise!
